Who we are
Josh Langley - Copywriter and advertising consultant.
I’ve been a professional copywriter for 11 years working for various radio stations and for Outside Creative in its previous incarnation in Perth. I also am a radio copywriting lecturer, having taught at Universities and Radio schools. Andy Macleod - Advertising consultant, admin and ideas man.
Andy keeps the whole show on the road, helping with ideas for client’s campaigns and keeping all the admin up to date. (He loves paperwork!) How we work
Because Outside Creative is a lifestyle choice as well as a dynamic creative agency, we do most work via email, the internet, fax and over the phone. Face to Face meetings aren’t a problem; we just can’t up and visit at a moment’s notice that’s all. Our office location is perfect for letting the ideas flow and coming up with original concepts. Check out the treechange page to see why we love it so much. A different kind of Advertising
We wanted to create responsible advertising, which takes into account it’s affect on people, animals and the environment. I call it ‘mindful’ advertising, where we try to reduce the negative effects that regular advertising can have on society. It allows us to develop more varied, humorous, creative and engaging ideas that benefit not only the client, but the customer as well. Keeping it simple
We love simplicity. We live simply and try and run the business simply and that flows through to our philosophy on advertising. There’s nothing worse than seeing a cluttered ad on telly or in the paper that leaves you confused or worse still, you just ignore it. A well targeted powerful simple idea can engage person and make them feel part of your business enough to buy your product or service. You don’t need to shout or throw mountains of information at people to make them buy from you. That advertising position comes from fear. “I need to mention everything I sell in case I miss out on someone who wants fluffy bunny ears”, “but we need to mention we sell pool fencing as well”, the list goes on. Advertising is psychological - it goes to the heart of people’s subconscious, that’s why a ‘list’ of products and services isn’t effective. You need to show how your product or service will benefit them, make their lives better. One simple, well executed idea is going to work far better than any list. Visit Outside Creative Blog |
